Waterloo Oval – Stormwater Harvesting for City of Sydney

Optimal Stormwater was selected for the construction of a stormwater harvesting solution in Waterloo at Waterloo Oval for the City of Sydney.

The project involved a drop offtake from the City of Sydney’s 600mm stormwater drain, with gravity feed into a CDS unit with a pumpwell next to the CDS. Flow tests determined that this arrangement would produce the most reliable supply of water to the pumpwell and harvesting solution.

The solution involved the use of 2 x 50KL underground Panther storage tanks underneath Waterloo Oval, plus a Screening Filter, Media Filtration, Disinfection and a control system to make it all work.

Sydney Water and City of Sydney had high expectations and Optimal Stormwater delivered.
