Stormwater conveyance and Creek Rehabilitation at Loftus for Sutherland Shire Council
On the back of some tricky insitu construction works, Optimal Stormwater was selected to add a pit, pipe and creek rehab, to a site in the Dept of Defence lands at Loftus.
This training base had a very strange stormwater situation that needed rectification, and included design and supply of a new pit, pipe, driveway replacement and creation of a new creek to join the existing creek.
The project had some interesting challenges, of which the security and access to the site was two of them.
The project was a combined effort between Railways, Dept of Defence and Council. This made for an interesting project, as did the creation of a new rock stabilized creek to transfer water to an existing creek.
The system is working well, and is very hydraulically efficient.
