Leichhardt Council GPT Design – King Georges Park

Council had engaged a tier one consulting firm that does everything to design them a GPT. They did this, tendered it, and all tenders were more than double the budget. Optimal Stormwater made some suggestions about sizing and relocation, and that same consulting firm redesigned the GPT, only to make the same mistakes all over again. This time, Council ordered that consultant to engage Optimal Stormwater as a subconsultant to do the GPT design.
The device was moved out of the roadway, and a double diversion chamber was used so that the device was then located in a location easy to construct and easy to maintain. Needless to say, for other GPT projects Council now refers straight to Optimal Stormwater.
