Artarmon Reserve – Stormwater Harvesting for Willoughby City Council

Optimal Stormwater was selected for the design of a stormwater harvesting solution in Artarmon Reserve for Willoughby City Council.
The project had a years’ worth of flow and water quality monitoring which Council provided. Optimal Stormwater provided an innovative design solution which provided for reasonably good reliability, and be easy to manually maintain.

The solution involves a series of protective trash racks, an additional weir, a submersible pump and access to make the pump accessible in the event of failure. The pump will provide raw water to the treatment shed and an above ground treated water shed with a pump system directed to the irrigation of the sports field.
